Healing Report
Here is what the prayer participants shared with testimony writer, Sarah Powers, of their own healings:
- Kyle from Oregon
- Four months ago Kyle was diagnosed with stomach cancer. He immediately began medication. In 14 days, he dropped from 198 to 170 pounds. He arrived at Bethel last night and received prayer. His skin tone was grey. As he received prayer last night, the color returned to his skin; his face, arms, and body are now his normal pigment. When he woke up this morning, he felt hungry for the first time in a little over four months. He also decided not to take any of his medications. As he was being prayed for today he tasted a “real bitter” taste in his mouth. The prayer servant said that it was all the medications coming out of his body. He is getting the cancer tested on October 8..
- Bruce from Oregon
- While receiving prayer, he felt a cool refreshing feeling in his whole body. He says that he hasn’t been able to cool off since he arrived in Redding. For about three years his knees have been causing him pain while walking and standing. He feels coolness in his knees right now and no sensation of pain. Also, his back has been causing him pain off and on for fifty plus years. Now he feels pain free relief in his back. In addition, his ears have been bad for years from operating loud machinery. He wasn’t able to understand words to songs or detect high-pitched noises. He can now understand some words to the music playing and he says the music sounds loud. Before, to him, it sounded muted. He jokes that he can now hear his wife. She laughed.
- Marsha from Oregon
- Marsha’s back has been causing her problems for about five years now. She has a handicapped parking tag on her car. She could only stand for 10 to 20 min at the most. She has been standing for at least 10 minutes now and says she feels great and has no sign of pain.
- Susan from MI
- Six months ago Susan fell into a twisted position during her sleep and her spine became misaligned. For the past six months, every night she would feel strong back pain in the wee hours of the morning. Two Saturdays ago, she received prayer here for her injury. This week she noticed that the pain that used to wake her every night toward morning is now gone.
- Jacob from TX, a First-year BSSM student
- Jacob has had crooked teeth since he was 12 years old. It was so bad that his front two teeth were sticking out. He recently has had some special retainers made that were supposed to flatten them out over a course of years. His retainers caused him a lot of pain and progress was slow. While he was in the Encounter Room today, an observer gave a testimony of someone whose heart was healed. Jacob thought if God can heal that heart, then he can heal my teeth. Just moments before, he also recalled a testimony of a radically healed leg that he heard in first year earlier that week, and thought that if God could heal that leg, then he could heal his teeth. Then he ran his tongue across his teeth, and instead of feeling rigid and bumpy as usual, they felt smooth. His teeth are completely straight.
- Allen from CA
- Allen came in today to receive pain for a spinal cord injury. Allen was baptized in the Holy Spirit for the first time in his life. He felt a sensation in his body and began speaking in tongues. As he began to do that, he could do movements with more ease and less pain.
- Janice from CA
- Janice has had a pinched nerve off and on for the past couple of years. It has been more intense recently and she has been seeing a chiropractor. She could barely turn her head to the right side. She can now turn her head to the right side with ease. She has a knee that is bent inward, and it looks less bent than before and the pain has reduced from a 7 to a 2.5.
- Hannah UK (follow up)
- Hannah and her husband are a young couple from the UK who have young children. Hannah was diagnosed in February with a rare form of terminal breast cancer and told there was no hope. Right away she began Chemo Radiation therapy, but lumps came back immediately when treatment had stopped. Today she has a lump under her arm that has substantially reduced in size and one in her neck that has reduced as well.
In the Encounter Room, a man testified that he had had pain in his shoulder from working out. He tore his rotator cuff a while ago. Someone prayed and the pain is gone.
Here is what some of the prayer servants shared at the end of the day:
- A girl had cancer and with the words of knowledge they got they found the words that she was speaking over herself and stuff that she believed. As they prayed her tumor started shrinking. Some things were related to unforgiveness. It’s all connected. She was able to close her hands again, which she wasn’t before. She was diagnosed with cancer of the tongue. And today she got her spiritual language, speaking in tongues for the first time.
- A guy was in a bike accident years ago in which someone was killed. He was set free today from grief he’d had for 18 years and got his prayer language.
- A lady who couldn’t hear behind her without her hearing aid took it out and could hear behind her.
- A lady who couldn’t hear people speaking softly in crowds could hear the prayer servant standing away from her in the lively Encounter Room.
- A guy came in and said that he had diabetes. When he heard a testimony of diabetes healing, he felt the veins in his blood getting lighter and clean.
- A prayer servant got a word of knowledge about something that was painful and found a man had stomach cancer. He wasn’t sure where the cancer was. She could feel heat flow through her body, and he said the pain was completely gone.
- The right eyes of two people were really touched. One had dilations that were not right. God touched that so it was the same as the other. The other had an eye that watered. It stopped watering and he could read the team’s name badges.
- A mom brought a laptop into a hospital room where her son had 4th stage cancer in Russia. The Skype prayer servant prayed for him and peace came into the room.
- She also prayed for a man in Ireland, who felt like he was “going to explode.” He was set free.
