Fresh from Sonora: Crutches Bite the Dust
This is like our first official documented healing at the SHOP (Sonora House of Prayer). It happened March 31st. The audio is the call we received from Kenan our
friend a week after Natasha went to the doctor a second time to get her knee
checked out. Here’s the full story.
It was another Tuesday night at the SHOP and after worship we went into prayer
and ministry. At the beginning of the
night we had noticed our friend Tasha had crutches and a big knee brace this
week, knowing last week that she did not.
So we went over to the couch she was on and asked what had
happened. Five days earlier she had collided with an opponent in her soccer game and had hit her knee severely. She went directly to the doctor’s office to find out that she would need an MRI because it looked like there was some major damage internally possible MCL and ACL related injuries. Her boyfriend was there and said he saw the whole thing and it was pretty bad. The doctor had given her crutches and a knee brace that kept her from bending it and told her to keep all pressure off of it.
The two of us asked if we could lay hands on her leg with the brace that was propped up and she said yes. We prayed a quick prayer asking for full healing in Jesus name. We looked up and asked if she felt anything different and she had said no. Determined to see her leg healed we asked her to stand up.
So she grabbed her crutches, stood up, and we continued to pray for
her. While we are praying this time tears start running down her face. We
asked if she had felt anything and she had said she had felt a “popping” in her
leg. We took that as a good sign and asked if she could put any pressure on her leg.
She dropped the crutches and stood on both legs, then moved around a little bit. That’s when we asked to take the brace off to see if she could bend it.
With the brace off she started moving her leg and bending her knee back and forth, back and forth! YAY GOD! The faith in the room had increased and 3 more healings followed!
So the night ended and Tasha walked out of the SHOP on both legs with her boyfriend carrying her crutches and knee brace home! A week later
we received this phone call to confirm the healing.
