“…I obeyed the Holy Spirit..! A lady came forward in the invitation that I made. Before I laid my hands, I read to her Psalm 103:3. That verse reads, “Who pardons all your iniquities, and who heals all your diseases…” Her head was bent all throughout, but one thing I know that tears starts to fall from her eyes as I could hear her sobbing. I laid my hands on her. The anointing came so strong that strong volts of electricity-like sensation was being passed on to her as I laid my hands. I allowed my hands to stay on her head for a few minutes. Please understand that I was in a Baptist congregation. At that time everyone was already standing and watching what was going to happen because I had not prayed the closing prayer yet. They were not expecting this ending to their worship service.
After the Holy Spirit was done, I told her that her sins were forgiven and that God is going to heal her body. Then, I closed the worship service with a Benediction. No one talked to me after the worship service ended because it was one of those rare occurences where there was an altar call for healing at that church. They normally do an altar call for salvation but not an altar call for healing. The pastor and the congregation does not know how to handle the “event” that they just had witnessed.
I was given very little information about the lady and I was only able to get a better picture of who am I praying at 2 weeks later. The news came back this way:
The dear lady was a Muslim who just happen to visit that Baptist church because of a terminal cancer. Her breast cancer was at fourth stage. A fourth stage breast cancer according to research has a low survival rate among its victims. This stage of breast cancer is already considered as invasive because tumors already spread to the other parts of the body. It is common for a fourth stage cancer to already metastasize (or spread rapidly) to the lungs, to the bones, and to the liver. The lady already went through a mastectomy, a surgical procedure where her two breasts were removed to prevent the spreading of the cancer. However, there was a remission. The cancer came back and the doctor told her that she had four weeks to live. When I prayed over her at that church, she was already in this journey to find healing because her own religion (Islam) does not have an answer for it. She is seeking the God of the Christians. That’s why she did not hesitate to go to that church. In her mind, who knows that the God of Christians can heal her from cancer and from death?
It was her first time in that church, and the person who invited her was only preparing her to make peace with her Creator before she dies. I think by this time you already have an idea on what the ending of the story is. The dear lady went back to her doctor early that week, and a series of tests were run. All signs of the metastasis of cancer on her lungs, bones, liver and breasts area were all gone! Totally gone! To this date, seven years later, that dear lady is still alive, cancer free! The God of the Christians did it! The God of the Christians had broken the curse of death in her life! God, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth healed her sick and dying body! The cancer was completely cursed that it never attempted to come back again!
God can heal anyone, even a Muslim who still practices and observes Islam!
God can heal even in a church setting where no one believes that healing is still for us today!
The Holy Spirit can choose to fall anywhere and everywhere!”
