More Than Just a Tip For Our Waiter
While having dinner with our pastors friends in Diriamba, Nicaragua, we noticed that our waiter had his elbow wrapped and could barely move his left arm. He was in so much pain that he could not even unscrew the top off the Coke bottle. We kept trying to strike up a conversation with him but he was politely remaining quiet. We all heard the Spirit of The Lord ask us to bless him with a very generous tip which brought a little smile to his face. But what happened next brought total joy to his body and spirit!
We were on the upper level of the restaurant and our waiter had just closed and bolted the double doors as we were preparing to leave. We asked him about his elbow and he explained that he had severely injured it when someone fell on it during a soccer game. It was very swollen and bruised and his pain level was a “9″ on a scale of one-to-ten. We invited our pastor friends and their two little daughters over to pray with us for our waiter.
All of a sudden the double doors blew open and a big blast of wind came rushing in and a couple of us proclaimed: “Holy Spirit is here!” This wind caused the bandage to begin to unravel so we asked the waiter to finish unwrapping his elbow. When he did …… he had no bruises, no swelling, and no pain! He began to move his arm all around and was totally amazed and in awe of what God did for him. As we all went downstairs he was glowing with excitement and joy and his co-workers and the owner of the restaurant wanted to know what happened to him. As he shared his testimony the whole place began to cheer and God was glorified !!!!!
