Newark transformation
Here is a great video of how the expression of intercession in a city has transformed that city. I love all expressions of the body of Christ. Some would say the only way to reach their city is through street evangelism while others say that intercession is the key. Both are legitimate expressions of the church, although I would pray that intercession wouldn’t become a substitute for going out and doing what Jesus did. He did say though, that some of these things only come out with prayer and fasting, so there is room in the perfect theology that is Jesus, for intercession. I love the interdependency the church has on each others gifts and expressions and I would pray that no one expression would limit God to their expression only. Often on HealingHerald.org we show street evangelists going out and getting what Jesus paid for. I love it. It really is the meat and patatoes of the Kingdom, or the dinner bell to the feast. However this too is also a valuable expression of the Kingdom and vital to seeing a region transformed. So today we celebrate with the city of Newark and their prayer initiative. We praise God for what He is doing in that city.
