On Friday, January 10, I drew my waitress a prophetic art piece and prophecy on a napkin; then I prayed for her. (The picture was of God’s hands holding her heart, with two angels on each side of her. God also showed me that the reason she is still here is because of the prayers of so many people around her life.)

She got healed of breathing problems and pain in the spine and rib. Then I had her sit in a chair, and I prayed for her hips to align and for her right leg to be even with the left. It was about an inch shorter, and it grew out right in front of her eyes, and she could feel the flesh moving and stretching as it grew! This drew the attention of the other nearby customers and waiters, so I had another waiter sit in the chair, and a customer in the adjacent booth come to “see a miracle,” and the waitress’ legs evened out as well. Then another waiter received the same miracle. After all this, I had the attention of the waiters and the two groups around us, so I took the opportunity to make sure they all knew Jesus, and they said they all did. I told them, “Whenever you witness a miracle, you have to make a decision.”

When the scene settled down and I was sitting back at the table, my waitress gave me her hand and said, “I feel heat.” The fire of God was on her body so strongly that her hand was physically hot to the touch, whereas a minute ago it was cold. She told me her situation and that right as I came into the restaurant that night, another man was leaving and had given her the same word that I gave her on the napkin.

My friend also had me pray for a bump on his foot that caused a lot of pain. There was no difference, but on Monday he called me and told me that on Sunday during church, he realized that the bump that he had for years was completely gone, and it is so much easier to function!

The crazy thing with the waitress is that my spiritual mom had connected with this waitress on Christmas day, and that night after all that had happened, my spiritual mom joined me at the restaurant, and we exchanged numbers with the waitress so that my mom can give her rides to church! God has that waitress in his hands! All this happened the day of my godfather’s funeral.

1. We went to the Sunday 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. services. We prayed the offering prayer. We didn't think anything of it until we arrived back in Portland. We received two totally unexpected checks that added up exactly to what we spent to attend the conference. It wasn't "sort of close" — it was exact. We tracked our expenses in a log so we know exactly what we spent. God is good!

2. My wife had a large tumor removed from her leg several years ago. That tumor is what drove her back to church and to dedicate her life to Christ. She had another growth appear in her leg and was worried about it. That growth totally disappeared on Tuesday night. She didn't think about it until we got back to the hotel. Its gone!

3. I was struck by a car on July 19, 1978, while walking down the sidewalk. I've had chronic lower back pain since that day. On Wednesday I noticed that I had zero pain—none! And I haven't had pain since then, and I helped an elderly husband and wife from our home church move this weekend and no pain!

God is so good. We were blessed three times from our trip!

Seven and a half years ago, I was officially diagnosed with bulimia, anorexia, and EDNOS (Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified). I have had eating disorders since the age of 11, and I have been in and out of treatment, my longest being five months inpatient. Treatment teams always said that eating disorders were almost impossible to completely recover from and that I would always have to battle them for the rest of my life even if the behaviors were gone. The year 2012 was the hardest year; I hit rock bottom and was bingeing and purging up to 10 times a day. I was hopeless and literally believed I would die from it—and I honestly wanted to.

But over the summer, God began working in me and gave me a grace that allowed me to really pursue recovery. I went from using bulimia 10 times a day to 5 times a day, then to 5 times a week, then to once a week. Then to once every 2 weeks. The 2-week mark was always my weakness, and I found myself slipping. On November 10th, 2012, I heard the Lord say to me that I was done. That was the last time I used bulimia and the last time I even had an urge to. Never in my entire life since age 11 have I ever gone through a day without wanting to use some sort of eating disorder behavior. To this day, I am 76 days bulimia free and when I say free, I mean free from behaviors AND mental battles! I used to go through a day praying I wouldn't slip and feeling weak and now it isn't even a thought in my mind. I wanted to share because I believe that I am living proof that God can heal and deliver people from mental illnesses.
